Two Shark Attacks in Isle of Palms

Last month in the Isle of Palms, SC two shark attacks were reported on the same day. First a boy was attacked near the Isle of Palms County Park around 2pm. Then about three hours later a 30year old man was attacked at the Wild Dunes. The boy had non life-threatening injuries in the lower leg and ankle. The man had torn tendons and had two surjuries.

Immigrants Held in Kingsport

On September 5th a group of immigrants were held in the custody of the Immigrations Customs Enforcement Agency after being pulled over on the interstate for speeding, according to a statment from the Kingsport Police Department. The immigrants are believed to be from San Bartolome, Mexico.

Gray Fossil Site Opens

A new attraction has opened in the Tri. The Gray Fossil Site Visitor Center and Natural History Museum is now open. The museum shows visitors what kinds of creatures lived in the region millions of years ago. The museum includes interactive stations for kids and visitors can watch the scientists work. The museum is open daily from 8:30am until 5pm.

Bob Lewis Retires
