The 6-feet-2 tennis champion-she’s so tall she instinctively prepares to duck when she walks through a doorway-is estimated to make $20 million a year in sponsorship deals. Right now she’s at Wimbledon, hoping to win back the title she won there three years ago, at a mere 17.

Rain swept across Texas Yesterday for the 16th day in a row. The flood waters killed more than 11 people and have rained more than in all of 2006.

City to Buy Site of Warehouse Fire

The mayor of Charleston, Joseph Riley said Wednesday that the city will buy the site were the warehouse fire occured Monday. The city will make it a memorial and park to honor the 9 firefighters that died. It was the worst single loss of American firefighters since 9/11.
