Funding Issues with Sherrif's Department

Cater County Sheriff Chris Mathes has written a letter to Mayor Johnny Holder about under funding problems with the county commission. Due to the problem the department has been struggling to meet requirements in serving the county. If Holder doesn’t help Sheriff Mathes has already contacted an attorney to represent him if he decides to file a lawsuit against the commission.

Johnson City Flooding Issue

After many years of flooding in Johnson City many citizens wonder if the city is ever going to solve the problem. The city is still exploring ideas and plans to hold a town meeting soon.

Tennessee Street Expansion

Johnson City is planning on a $5 million project expected to take 18 months on the expansion of TN St. In the expansion the street that currently ends at an intersection with Lamont St. will extend by Kiwanis Park on to West Market Street They will also improve the existing Tennessee Street and surrounding streets.
