New Credit Card Law

President Obama has signed new credit card rules into law. He wanted to make clear that he is not condoning those who spend more than they have. He wants to put a stop to punishing those who pay their bills for what others do.

Shuttle Atlantis Landing Delayed

Due to stormy weather in Cape Canaveral, the shuttle Atlantis cannot return today. Even though equally bad weather is forecast for tomorrow, Mission Control decided to wait out the bad weather rather than decide to land in California. There is a slight chance than conditions could improve. Atlantis has enough supplies to stay in orbit until Monday.

Sheriff Mathes Sues County

Carter County Sheriff Chris Mathes is suing the county for over $800,000. Mathes says his reasoning is because the county commission is under funding his dept. Mathes wants to use the money for several things including: new deputies, new correctional officers, higher pay for the dept., new cars, and more.
