This weekend at the Bristol Public Library, WCYB-TV and the National Weather Service hosted a storm spotter training class. The class taught participants about what leads to severe weather and what to do when it strikes. The spotters will be used to report severe weather when it happens so that the National Weather Service can issue warnings and alert the public. WCYB Meteorologist Marcus Lynch told us about what he hopes the class will accomplish for his ability to alert viewers of severe weather. The National Weather Service will be hosting another class tomorrow at 6:00pm in Greeneville.
