Johnson City Installs Red Light Cameras

After much discussion, Johnson City has finally begun to install red light cameras. The cameras will be up and running by February 28. The cameras will take pictures of those who run red lights as they do so. The hope is that Johnson City’s roads will become safer. Redflex, the company who owns the cameras, will get a certain percentage of the fines depending on how many citations are issued.
